We are a preservation breeder of quality German Shepherd Dogs focusing on Health, Temperament, and Workability. Our dogs come from proven bloodlines and undergo extensive health testing before breeding. First and foremost, our dogs are all a part of our family and live in our home. Our puppies are also raised inside of our home and are handled daily. We raise our puppies using Puppy Culture and Aviddog protocols to ensure they have the best possible start to life. Our puppies are not first come first serve, we choose placement at 7 weeks of age based on the best fit for that individual puppy and the buyer's lifestyle/goals. Here at Vom Bayale we put a huge emphasis on health testing. Many breeders will stop their health testing at the breed's basic requirements which is x-raying their hips, elbows, and testing for DM, but in a breed as saturated as the German Shepherd Dog, the health issues we have seen pop up are far beyond just those three tests. In addition to that we annually screen for thyroid, cardiac, and eye disease through OFA, and along with hips and elbows we x-ray our dogs' entire spine and repeat these x-rays throughout their life to see how their joints hold up to the impact from the kind of work that they perform. We also use a few different DNA based kits that tell us so much more about the health and longevity of our dogs. Our goal is to produce genetically sound dogs that are suited for various lifestyles and venues of work; Some of which may include protection sports, search and rescue, AKC sports, assistance dogs, law enforcement, and active pet homes.
